We tend to suffer from anxiety, stress, and depression for too long before reaching for help, which can lead to unnecessary suffering. It takes courage to start therapy, and it takes courage to confront our problems.
What I offer you is a calm and supportive environment in which you will be able to deal with any difficulties you are experiencing, with the professionalism that you deserve.
My name is Pablo, and I am a chartered clinical psychologist specialised in online therapy.
I have over a decade of experience in providing support to adults with a diverse array of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, depression, burnout, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and interpersonal and cultural challenges.
Whether you seek private therapy, or through your medical insurer, I am here to help.
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and yet everyone is unique. I work with a wide range of issues, from depression and burnout to existential crises, but these are my four core specialities.
Treating persistent anxiety and worry, panic attacks, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, stress and burnout, as well as social anxiety.
Delivering trauma-focused psychotherapy and exposure techniques, as well as treating avoidance, insomnia, and anxiety.
Assisting bereaved people who find their grieving process to be complicated, complex, or blocked.
Supporting people as they navigate diverse cultures and countries, migrate or return home, maintain intercultural relationships, or manage an international lifestyle.
I employ an integrative approach, combining both cognitive behavioural and humanistic psychological therapies. This means I believe in tailoring the treatment to you, and what you need and prefer.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) focused on enhancing psychological flexibility.
It involves the use of evidence-based coping strategies (e.g. breathing exercises) and behaviour analysis of unwelcome thoughts, feelings, and habits.
The aim is to foster commitment to one's chosen values, and live meaningfully even in the presence of psychological distress. ACT is a modern psychotherapy built upon solid experimental research.
Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) is a humanistic psychotherapy built upon an empathic, authentic, and accepting dialogue, one that explores what makes us truly human (e.g., meaning, love, mortality, freedom). It is an open and flexible conversation led by you, your most salient feelings, and your own areas of concern.
PCT is a classic psychotherapy aimed at personal growth. My work is rooted in the pioneering work of Carl Rogers, as well as in the ideas of other existential thinkers, such as Yalom, Cooper, and Spinelli.
